About the Project
Akdağ Mineral Wool Factory is an industrial facility established in the Elazığ Organized Industrial Zone to produce insulation materials. The project was contracted and completed by Bend Yapı for the client Akdağ Madencilik.
The facility consists of wide-span production and storage areas, an administrative building and the site works that connect them. The layout of the production lines, heavy equipment loads and vehicle traffic are the main factors that determined the structural system and the floor slabs.
Scope of Work
- Foundation and raft reinforcement and reinforced concrete foundation works
- Wide-span production and storage halls with precast columns
- Reinforced concrete and masonry works for the two-story administrative building
- Industrial floors, site concrete and retaining walls
Our Approach to Industrial Buildings
In factory buildings, the structural system is planned to accommodate machine layout and future capacity increases. For floor slabs, load-bearing capacity and surface strength are priorities so that production can continue without interruption.
